Doral was incorporated on January 28, 2003, and covers about 15 square miles bounded by the Ronald Reagan Turnpike on the west, the Town of Medley on the north, the Palmetto Expressway on the east and the City of Sweetwater on the south (City of Doral, About). The city's business page also points to "strong connections to Latin America, the Caribbean, and global markets" (City of Doral, Businesses).
When money and cargo cross borders, the first questions are basic ones. Is this distributor or forwarder a registered company? Who signs for it? Has anyone sued it? Our corporate due diligence begins with Florida's Sunbiz business filings, which show entities, officers, registered agents, fictitious names and judgment liens, and with Miami-Dade court dockets. Interviews or site checks are added only when those records leave a real gap. We can work the Spanish-language side of a file, too.
Inventory loss and internal theft
Distribution and wholesale employers sometimes suspect that stock, customer lists or cash are walking out through someone on the payroll. We handle those matters within the law: observation from public areas, interviews with witnesses who agree to speak, and asset checks through public records to see whether someone's lifestyle has outrun their wages. Branches on that list include the Hialeah Branch Courthouse, 11 East 6th Street, and the Coral Gables Branch Courthouse, 3100 Ponce de Leon. The building that hears a specific case depends on its type, so go by your summons or your attorney.
Downtown, the Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center at 20 N.W. 1st Avenue opened with a ribbon cutting on November 10, 2025, and the county says it "replaces the historic Miami-Dade County Courthouse, which has served the community since 1928" (Miami-Dade County release). The Clerk's page for the building lists Circuit and County Court, Civil Jury, Probate, Foreclosure and the County Recorder among its services (Clerk location page). Paperwork that still points to 73 W. Flagler is out of date.
The Miami-Dade Clerk of the Court and Comptroller runs the civil, family and probate case search and the official records search for recorded deeds, mortgages and liens. Put next to Sunbiz filings, those two searches often show whether a Doral company, its principals and its property line up with what you were told.
Making the evidence usable
A clip from a loading dock or a parking lot only helps if a court will accept it. Florida makes authentication a precondition of admissibility (s. 90.901), which in practice means the investigator explains how, when and where the footage was taken. Relevant evidence is generally admissible, but a judge can exclude it when unfair prejudice or confusion substantially outweighs its value (s. 90.403). A private conversation intercepted without consent is out entirely, together with anything derived from it (s. 934.06). Many of the business parks that give Doral its character are private property, and we treat them that way: no entry without permission, observation from public roads and lots only.

- Records sweep. Clerk dockets, recorded documents and Sunbiz filings come first, because they are cheaper than field hours and often answer the question.
- Written scope. You approve the tasks, the time frame and the objective before any fieldwork.
- Fieldwork and report. Lawful surveillance, interviews and follow-up records, delivered as a timestamped log with photos or video and a plain summary your lawyer can use.
Legal limits every Florida investigator works within
Chapter 493 allows a licensed investigator to gather information about a person's "identity, habits, conduct, movements, whereabouts, affiliations, associations, transactions, reputation, or character" (s. 493.6101). For a Doral business or family, the boundaries that matter most are these:
- Trackers. Florida's tracking law has exceptions for a business acting in good faith for a legitimate business purpose and for a vehicle's owner or lessee, but a private investigator gets no exemption of their own unless the client would already qualify (s. 934.425). Ask your lawyer before tracking fleet vehicles.
- Recording. Every party must consent before a private conversation is recorded; a violation is a third-degree felony (s. 934.03).
- Bank data. Obtaining someone's financial account information through false statements is a federal offense (15 U.S.C. § 6821).
- Vehicle records. DMV personal information is released only for purposes allowed by the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (18 U.S.C. § 2721).
- No police act. Impersonating law enforcement with a badge, uniform or false credentials is grounds for discipline (s. 493.6118(1)(i)).
